These terms apply to the PastPeep website (peeppast.dizipeep.com) and to the videos published on the PastPeep YouTube channel. By using the site or watching our videos, you accept these terms.
Use of the site and videos
PastPeep publishes educational stories about world history. You are welcome to read this site, watch our videos and share links to them. Our videos are hosted on YouTube, so watching them is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service. Please do not re-upload, sell or redistribute our videos, or present them as your own, without our written permission.
Intellectual property
The PastPeep name, logo, scripts, narration, editing, original graphics, maps and charts are our work and are protected by copyright. Short quotations for commentary, criticism, teaching or research are welcome with a credit and a link to the original video.
Historical accuracy and sources
We research every story carefully and list our sources in each video's description. History is, however, an ongoing conversation: evidence is sometimes incomplete, historians disagree, and new research can change what we know. Our videos are for general education and entertainment, not professional or academic advice, and some scenes are simplified or dramatised for clarity. Where we interpret events, that interpretation is ours. If you believe we got something wrong, please write to us with your source — we review every correction and fix or clarify where needed.
Public-domain material and credits
Our videos are illustrated with archive photographs, historical maps, paintings and documents that are in the public domain or available under open licences (such as Creative Commons). We credit each item with its source and licence in the video's description. Public-domain status can differ between countries; if you reuse any of this material, check its status where you are. Original works shown in our videos remain subject to their own licences. If you are a rights holder and believe material has been used incorrectly, contact us and we will respond promptly.
